About the EDC
The Development Corporation of Mercedes is a publicly funded not-for-profit corporation, which was established to create jobs in the City of Mercedes by attracting new industry and business as well as assisting existing companies to expand. The Development Corporation of Mercedes facilitates new business and expansions by providing:
- A database of properties and buildings
- Assistance with the site selection process
- Comprehensive data about the community
- Business start up resources
- Business planning services
- Business development seminars
- Incentives for creating jobs
- Assistance for job training
- Assistance with state and local programs
The Development Corporation of Mercedes is managed by a seven member volunteer board, which works closely with the City of Mercedes administration. This coordinated collaboration and function provides the necessary elements of a positive business environment in order to ensure the success of your business and our community. The Development Corporation of Mercedes is committed to supporting, encouraging and assisting sustainable economic growth in the City of Mercedes.
